I honestly had no idea what would happen when I started recording these covers, and I'm still unsure where it will go. that minor fourth in the beginning motif will always be nostalgic to me as my dad used to (and still does, to an extent) play this song all the time. i think it's one of the most beautiful sounds out there and you delivered it beautifully in this cover, so so so stunning amazing job

Hey Alfred, that chord is an interesting one. It can be interpreted as either a Dm(b6) or a Bbmaj7/D. The fact that Thom's melody hits the Bb is one of the most magical parts of the song. My other favourite moment is Colin harmonising the vocal line at the beginning of the third verse. He only does it once, but I look out for it every time! 😃

By far the best cover. The thing you do so well in this and your other videos is a continuous rhythmic movement i.e adding all those extra notes whilst the melody is defined, that gives it great pace and vitality. Would love to see sheet music one day so I could attempt it too!
